Since the successful transformation into a BioPharma leader several years ago, BMS has focused its strategy on “unmet medical needs” and responded to new challenges through its BioPharma strategy. Recently, the journalist has learnt more about the BioPharma concept through explorations of BMS’ endeavors in R&D and quality control.


Mr. Cezary Statuch, Vice President of BMS China R&D and Global Medical Affairs Japan and India, explained that today’s pharmaceutical industry is facing severe challenges, and the constantly changing external environment has raised higher than ever demand to the players in this industry, ie. To develop high quality drugs in a faster and more efficient way to satisfy the constantly changing medical and health needs. BMS has taken BioPharma strategy to tackle such new challenges.


Robin Edwards, Vice President and General Manager of Technical Operations China, explained that BMS has developed a comprehensive quality system, which shares the equal level even in different countries. The Company keeps a unique globally Central Quality Team, which is independent of the manufacturing plants located in various areas.
